The Odyssey Launch Platform and the Sea Launch Commander have departed home port in Long Beach, Calif., for an equatorial launch site in the Pacific Ocean for the upcoming flight of DirecTV 7S.

Sea Launch said it plans to launch the spacecraft for the satellite TV giant on May 4, in a two-hour launch window that opens at 5:22 a.m. Pacific Time.

DirecTV 7S, the second spot beam satellite in DirecTV's fleet, will provide capacity to deliver local channels to 41 additional markets, expanding the satellite TV company's local channel coverage to 105 markets. The satellite will reside at 119 degrees, but has capabilities allowing it to operate from DirecTV's core satellite location at 101 degrees.

Now not only are HD-Tivos filling the warehouses with stock...

I have hope for some forum member(s)...

So I am assuming more HD channels can be added soon...hopefully for Directv subscribers and this means more competition (read: channel additions) for everybody.

TNT-HD comes out on May 10th next Monday

...we'll see who adds it first!:)
