Being a member of the World TV FM DX Association, published in their "Photo News" of pictures of TV signals received from far away places, a guy in Macomb, Illinois received WITI-DT on ch. 33 on August 19, 2003.  Macomb, Illinois is 230 miles away.

I find this VERY STRANGE.  Yes I am aware of tropo signals and so far have received a few stations from Chicago and Madison since the install last October of the outdoor antenna and amplifier.

But isn't WITI-DT considered "flea power".  I find it weird a low power transmission received at such great distances.

Being  I live in Muskego, I have received all DTV stations from Milwaukee EXCEPT WITI-DT, I have yet to receive them.

Next trop will definitely check ch. 33 of any signs.

Joseph S.   don't ever say I highly doubt it....after being an Amateur Radio Operator for over 40 years never say never....I've got contacts on 430 megahertz that are over 1000 miles using only 10 watts of RF power at 50 feet.  You'd be suprised what Tropospheric Ducting can do.

If it was any other station... I would considering I get WBZ 1030 AM with little probs 1100 miles away at 7PM +, but this is a station on a 9 volt source. :D
