Guys:  can anyone point me to a good Directtv forum, or point me in the right direction on sat alignment.  having some weird stuff going on with dish / receiving /  not receiving certain channels.  I think my dish is a litlle mis-aligned.  It was installed by D* tv installer, but the day of install, very cold and very snowing. (i dont think he wanted to be outside)  I am looking for what transponder and what channel i can use to veryify signal strentgh, etc.  Have a 3 LNB dish going to Sansung HDTV directtv box, sony T-60, and Hughes box.  Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

On the 101 sat. you should be getting no less than 85 signal on any transponders, and 100 (or zero depending on your sat. box) for the spotbeam.

On 110 sat.  you should also be getting a signal not less than 80 on transponders  8, 10, 12.

On 119 sat.  you should be getting not less than a 75 signal on trnasponders 22 through 32.

If you are getting significantly lower signals...I would get his butt back over there and have him do it correctly ! I don't think there is an excuse for not getting maximum (80+) signal strength on all transponders on all birds.

Unless there is an obstruction in the path of one or multiple sats. If the signal fluctuates, then it may be a tree limb in the way.

I was presuming un-obstructed southwestern exposure of course....;) :p
