Antenna suggestions

I checked on antennaweb and they recommend a medium directional w/ preamp.  I'm on the east side of West Bend, and the farthest station I want is FOX 6 at 27.2 miles at 154/155 degrees.  I live in a condo so I cannot install a rooftop antenna.  I do have a full attic that I can mount an antenna in.  I'm looking to get the OTA DTV channels from Milwaukee.

I talked to a guy at Radio Shack and he recommended a few antennas.  The cat #'s are 15-2190, 15-2185, 15-2154.  I do have Direct TV, so I think thats why he recommended the second antenna.  What are your thoughts on these antennas.  If not any of these which would you suggest, and where can I buy them?

Also I saw an antenna from Direct TV that looks like it mounts like a dish, but looks more like an antenna.  I don't know if I could install this antenna though (because of it being a condo).

Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions you can provide.

The 2154 is a good choice if you have space to direct it towards the antenna farm on the NE side of Milwaukee.  Do not expect to receive Fox6's DTV until they get it on their main tower.  Right now they are running MicroPower from their studios and hardly anyone can receive it.

The clip on antennas for dishes really don't work unless you are right in the city.

Thanks for the recomendation.  Can I hang the 2154 from the rafters with some fishing line or would you recommend mounting it to the floor joists?

When is FOX6 supposed to start broadcasting DTV?  I know shows like '24' are supposed to be broadcast in HD and widescreen.  Is FOX6 just slacking that much, or is it more than that?

You can hang it or mount it...I've seen them mounted on a pipe that is hung downwards from the Roof Joists and it works very well.  Fox Network is supposed to be 720p this fall.....so when that happens is anyones guess and when our local station has a digital signal we can receive is also anyone's guess.

Have you heard anything about the Channel Master 3021?  That antenna cost about $25 and is alot smaller 4" x 20".  It says it's rated for UHF of 45 miles.

That is a Bow-Tie antenna for UHF only, it'll work...but only for UHF.  They are a good antennas though.
