MX-500 and X-10?

Does anybody who has the MX-500 use it with X-10?  I ask because I didn't think that the MX-500 had an RF transmitter in it, but in the manual it says it will control X-10, but the only remote receivers I have seen for X-10 are RF.  Am I missing something here?  Is there an IR Reciever for X-10 that the MX-500 can control, or does the MX-500 do RF Transmitting.  HELP!

There are IR X-10 receivers.  I use one to contol lighting with a MX-500.  Works very well and is an easy low cost solution.  Maybe easier and lower cost would be fairer.  Good X-10 swiches are still fairly expensive.  The IR receiver is pretty reasonable.  Smarthome carries at least one.


An MX-500 does not sent RF signals.
