Lg Unveils first Blu-Ray Recorder with DVR

LG Electronics has introduced the first Blu-ray recorder with a built-in DVR.  Touted as the perfect device for high-definition recording, the LGXBG420 combines the new Blu-ray high-capacity digital media format with a 200GB hard-drive.

The DVR Blu-ray recorder features an IEEE-1394 connector, Digital Visual Interface with High Bandwidth Content Protection (DVI+HDCP), built-in ATSC and NTSC tuners, TV Guide On-Screen interactive program guide, DVD/CD playback options and an easy-to-use graphical user interface.

The LGXBG420 is tentatively scheduled for release in September.  Pricing was not available at this time.
