How many other people had horrible pixelation problems last night during the awards show?

I never saw it this bad before. Parts of the show were unwatchable.

Matt Heebner

I only watched till about 9 pm, but it was excellent ! The PQ was the best I have ever seen on a 720p converted to 1080i station.
My wife and sister-in-law both commented on it. Also...did you check out that one female host with the diamond dress ? She was stunningly beautiful, and if you compared the standard feed to the HD feed.....what a stark contrast. On the standard feed the dress just looked sparklie, but on the HD feed, you could literally make out the diamonds on the dress.

I had maybe one or 2 instances early on and 1 major network dropout that I'm sure everybody saw.  But like I said that was early on.  After that the video was excellent.

Now the Pre-Show was a different story.  The 5.1 mix was unbearable when they were outside interviewing people.  The rear channels were so loud that I couldn't hear the center channel with the interviews very well.  I was almost tempted to shut of the rear channel, but I was too lazy to put on my glasses to find the control buttons for that on the remote.

Absolutely one of the best PQ & sound production on HD in memory.  Even the audience shots were fantastic given the low lighting in those areas.

I agree with MHz40.. it was absolutely incredble!

it was nice, but there were I believe at least 2 or 3 drop outs by ABC.. I say ABC because the audio was still going and the 12 logo was still on the screen and not borken up. They were in the beginning... after that it was fine with no breakups for the rest of the show.. it was kind of annoying when it happened though.. :( There always seems to be a few of these when I have people over to watch HD... I wish the networks and stations would get their acts together and eliminate these glitches once and for all...

That woman's name is Maria Menounos. Here's a quote from a news story:

Not to be outdone, co-host Maria Menounos nearly trumped Janet Jackson's display of Super Bowl cleavage. After an awkward staged bit with Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson doubtless spoke for the multitudes when he asked, "Are those real?"

My... god.... she has some nice jewels...........

Yes, it was a nicely done HD event.  That chick is HOT!

I was surprised that even the movie clips were wide-screen. I wonder if they created special clips for the HD broadcast. Normally I would expect to see the graphic sidebars for that kind of thing.

Ah, heck. Who am I kidding? I just wanted to post another picture of this beauty.

Todd Wiedemann

You know, guys, you can see her nightly on 'Entertainment Tonight' ...

She typically wears 'interesting' outfits

StarvingForHDTV

I think she would make any show worth watching....
