WIS Television and Time Warner Cable have reached an agreement for all WIS digital programming, including high-definition (HDTV) programs, to be carried on Time Warner's cable systems in the greater Columbia, Orangeburg, Sumter, Florence and Myrtle Beach areas.

Now, customers who have HD TV-ready sets and a high-definition converter from Time Warner can view WIS digital programs, including NBC's coverage of NASCAR's legendary Daytona 500 race this Sunday at 12:00 noon.

Time Warner carries WIS DT (Digital Television) on its digital channel 805.

WIS DT has been on the air since January 30, 2003, transmitting WIS and NBC programs on digital channel 41. Now, WIS viewers can also enjoy the remarkable video and audio quality of digital television as part of a cable package.

As of the first week of February 2004, NBC is telecasting more than 13 hours of network programs per week in HDTV.
