Today, EchoStar and Sirius Satellite Radio will announce a major strategic partnership.

The collaboration also will reportedly involve RadioShack. The announcement will be made this morning.

The news could be a boost for Sirius, given that it will provide the satellite radio service with strong partners in the satellite TV business and at retail.
