TWC's response to my ESPNHD request

I filled out this little form that timewarnerwi.com had and requested that they add ESPNHD, what do you know, a CSR called me back.

He said that they are in "intense negotiations" with ESPN, but that he didn't have a specific date that he could give me.  I wonder if he was just feeding me a line of crap, or if they really are trying to add it to their lineup.

Does that mean that they are negotiating with light sabers?  No, wait thats "agressive negotiations".

If you get a chance, watch the 2004 CES Insiders on HDNet.  It's with some of the heads of the industry, and they just happen to  seat the CEO's of ESPN and Time Warner right next to each other.  About halfway through the program, there is a question from the room specifically about the Time Warner/ESPN HD issue.  They both squirm around and say they both very aware of needing to get a deal done and are working towards a resolution.

But watching it you don't get the feeling it will be soon.
