When on 506, do you see a part of the top chopped off or fuzzy?

Mine has been like this for 2 weeks. All of the other HD channels work just great.

Tarzdan

I have not noticed anything lately. I just did a spot check on mine, looks OK.....

The Law

I've not noticed either (though I've been known to place milk in the pantry and silverware in the freezer by mistake....)

I had that exact problem when I used my DVI cable. Only channel 506 had that on the top. With the component cables, it was not there. I got rid of my DVI cable partly becasue of this.

There must be something stange in their signal. All other channels were fine.

Huh.. Ive been using DVI since I had mine, and FOX was always good (til recently :(  )

Just for giggles, why don't you hook up a component cable and see if it is fixed.

It may be intermittent from FOX and I just happened to try my DVI cable during a bad time (like now).

The logic behind the cable being the issue is because the DVI cable sends the native signal straight to the TV. The component cables use the D/A converter in the 3510 box. The converter box may fix the issue before sending it to the TV.

BINGO! Thats weird as hell. So, do I wait for TWC to fix the prob, or FOX, or what?

I don't know if it is TWC or FOX that has the problem. I just returned my DVI cable and use componet now.

I don't think the picture was any better with DVI. Plus I had the issue with FOX, plus I did not like how the channels flickered as you changed from one input source to another with the DVI cable.

If you use component and leave the 3510 to output only 1080i through your component cables, you will have the best setup. IMHO.

I have DVI to free up an input for my PS2. 506 started working again yesterday on DVI (after all that moving the TV and swappin cables :p )
