What's really funny is that no one is talking about the game. You have to listen to the radio a long time to find out who won or even who played.  The ageing Janet Jackson managed to hijack the whole affair and garner all the publicity. I guess their plan worked.:eek:

Not to ask a stupid question but wasn't the audio supposed to be 5.1?  All I got was 2.1 but not sure if it was that Pioneer box acting weird or something else.

I have a hard time beleiving that CBS knew about this ahead of time. Viacom/MTV, no doubt they had it all planned well in advance.

CBS would:

#1 - Know they would be fined big time.

#2 - Would bring the wrath of all the religious and moral majority groups down on them.

#3 - Would have to know that the insuing discussion would overshadow the game itself, making the coverage of the game a non-issue.

CBS has a lot of decent, high rated shows right now. Why would they risk all that with a stunt like this? It does not make sense to me.

Yeh - I can't beleive that Jessica Simpson was actually listed as a "performer". She was nothing but a glorified announcer. The half time show was the lamest in SB history.

I had to laugh when I saw a toilet paper commercial in HD. Now I know that HD has made it to the big times.
