MPTV off the Air Again!

Well I was enjoying the Human Genome Project on Nova on 36-1 today when the signal crashed..noticed also that 36 analog was frozen and 10 and 10 digital were off the air also.  Go figure I was really enjoying the programming.

On another note dealing with MPTV..I noticed on the intro to Nova that the advertisers (okay they don't have ads...the financial sponsers) promos were only in SD and 4:3 format...however rather than having black bars on the side (you might think they look like black bars), actually they had a Star Field running in the background and overlayed the ads.  Sorta neat way to do it....it caught my eye when I say a white spot on the bars move on an angle...and then I looked real close and realized what they were doing.  Good job PBS.....keep those side bars busy.

Maybe ch. 6 should loan them some of their 9v batteries....   I wonder how many batteries it would take to power a full power TV transmitter... ;P
