I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but the search function won't let me do a two character search.

I'm getting a sigal strength of 49% for this channel, which isn't quite strong enough to lock on.  Does anyne know what station this is?

Thanks,

Scott

I don't know where you are located but it is possible you are seeing a signal from WBAY in Green Bay...but I would imagine you would have to be north of Milwaukee to see any signal at all. That is the only Digital 23 in Wisconsin...there is a low power analog in Madison and another station in Eau Claire on 23.

This is where it is good to fill out your user profile completely so if you don't state where you are we can look for the info in your user profile.

Thanks, Greg.

I live in little old Random Lake, so it must be the Green Bay station that I was almost getting.  When I checked it later in the day, the signal was just about gone, so it must have been a fluke with the weather.

I was almost getting channel 6's digital signal also, so if the cold weather we had wasn't good for anything else, at least it improved my reception.

You must have meant Channel 6 the CBS affiliate out of Marquette, MI.  Cause in NO WAY can you get WITI-DT.

John,

I think it was WITI, I never thought about a MI station.  The signal strength was hovering around 50, just high enough to lock on, but not high enough to view.

It gave me 33-1, 33-2, and 33-3.  Today the sigal strength is back to zero.

Well WITI-DT transmitter is flea power and only covers a few blocks range from their studios in Brown Deer.  Most Milwaukee DTV viewers here can speak for me and most haven't been able to receive WITI-DT.  So I do not know what you could have gotten on ch. 33.  I can't imagine anyone using ch. 33 in or near the Green Bay area so as to protect Milwaukee area.

I live in Muskego and it is the only station I haven't received to this day.  On occasion I can receive the Fox affiliate WFLD-DT out of Chicago when the weather is right. WFLD is on ch. 31.

WITI-DT is very very low power, and I believe their antenna is less them 200 feet from the ground.  I can see if you lived within 2 miles that you will get WITI-DT.

According to my TV station Databse, WNMU-DT the PBS affiliate out of Marquette, Michigan uses UHF channel 33.  PBS stations tend to use multi-programming as opposed to commercial network affiliates as they concentrate more so with High Definition and no multi-programming.  Thus WNMU-DT is most likely sending 3 different multi-programming feeds.

Not sure how far you are from Marquette, MI.  Green Bay is quite far away from there.

WLUC-TV, ch. 6 NBC affilate uses ch. 35 for their DTV operations.

I am not surprised that SRW1000 was getting WITI's digital signal.  I have picked it up in Dousman several times now.  I was able to pick it up too see the last fox ws packer game.  The signal strength was only in the 40's which does result in quite a few drop outs but I was able to watch it for a while.  normally my RCA DTC-100 reports a signal or 20 or less for WITI's signal but when the temp outside starts dropping down around 0 or below I have noticed the strength come up to the 30's and 40's.  I need to get at least a signal in the 40 range before there is a watchable signal.
