Hi everyone,

I'm really glad that WMLW is coming to Time Warner Milwaukee cable (finally). The only way I've been able to watch the station is on a 5 inch black and white TV that has a UHF antena. :bang: It's refrsehing to find a "new" station that I'd never heard of before up untill a few months ago.

Anyway, I hope this means the station will get new programs to add a bit of variety to the schedule... :D

Don't count on it.  Most likely they will take off the good stuff like "Green Acres", "I Love Lucy", "Lassie", etc. and replace it with junk.  Stations who get added to cable are known for doing this.  Once TWC finally added TV Land to ch. 61 5 years ago they took off "Petticoat Junction".:bang:

LOL! I hope you're not serrious, because TV Land continualy changes the schedule (and Petticoat Junction leaving has nothing to do with when Time Warner finaly picked up the station...). I'm not happy that they keep switching around the schedule eithier; mind you... but that's because the rights to shows keep expiring. :drink:

Aside from that, TV Land is a nationwide cable station and WMLW is a local indepdendent analog station; and it's the *only* local indepdendent station that isn't an affiliate, so far as I know... (which is why I dig it).

Anyway, I hope now that WMLW is on Time Warner Milwaukee that they *add* more classic and obscure TV shows.

I wasn't exactly serious but it sure seems that way.  You look forward for ages for a channel to finally appear on cable because of their programming and they have some of your favorite shows.  Once they get on TWC some of your favorite shows dissappear.

WMLW is also digital on 1-3 or 58-3.  But yes I like having a local independent station, one who is not affilliated with any network.  I used to love channel 18 when Gaylord Broadcasting ran it, but once Sinclair took over operations I wasn't impress with their taste of programming and found myself watching ch. 18 less.  When WCGV ch. 24 who I think was owned by a local business man who had a great taste of programming including a locally produced talk show "Tempo 24" however the hosts of the show escaped me, former ch. 6 Joe ??? and forgot the lady's name again.  It used to air in the afternoons and repeated in the evenings before Select TV took over at 7:00 pm.

This station has been on TWC for a couple of years now.  It is on digital channel 741.

It is a good station in my opinion because it has a lot of the local and regional college sports broadcast rights.
