I am having on-going problems with my PC TV recording software. I am running ATI Multi-media 8.8. When I record, it does not save the file and crashes.

I would appreciate information on who uses what software, and with what TV capture card on your PC's. I have ot to find something that works reliably.

Thanks allot!

I doubt any of this information is useful for your ATI card, but...

For regular analog SDTV captures I use AVI_IO.  It's a true godsend for me as I capture off the s-video from my digi-cable box, so all I needed was something to set timers.  I have a Hauppauge WinTV-dbx and use the BtWinCap WDM drivers because it allows me to capture at 720x480, where the OEM drivers max out at 640x480.

For HDTV however I use the proprietary HiPix software (the AVS build).  It only works with the HiPix DTV-200 card, so unless you've got one, there's no use getting that app.
