Picture looks nice, but I'm not getting a 5.1 surround sound.

I did get the 5.1 surround, it was amazing.  Actually I was wondering how the sound would have been on CBS or NBC, as a comparison.  Some day I will catch a movie worth watching in HD on one of those channels.

Way to go ABC, that was great!

I watched the opening half hour. I have seem this on Progressive DVD and HBO when it was on--HDTV. It was pretty good Sat. Night. This is a powerful story anyway!

Regarding 5.1 sound, I wonder if 5.1 is infeasible with 1080i.  The only 5.1 I've ever heard of being broadcast is ABC with their 720p.

CBS, NBC, and PBS (all 1080i) do not have 5.1 sound.  The difference is substantial, as we all know.

The difference is substantial.  It's HUGE.  I watched part of a CBS-DT movie last night without the DD 5.1, and it had significantly less audio quality than ABC-DT.  I thought that PBS occasionally passed on 5.1 DD with their 1080i and HDNET passed on 5.1 with their 1080i at times.  I hope it's compatible.
