PROGRAMMING: VOOM Has HD Goods

This week at CES, Rainbow DBS, Cablevision's satellite TV division, promoted recent additions to VOOM's HD lineup: NFL Network, Playboy TV, STARZ! HD East and STARZ! HD West. The channels will bring VOOM's HD total to 30.

EWTN on Sirius - Sirius Satellite Radio said EWTN Global Catholic Network has joined its lineup on two streams serving English-speaking and Spanish-speaking subscribers. EWTN Global Catholic Network is in its 22nd year and is in more than 85 million TV households in 110 countries.

Sky Angel Readies Spirit - Spirit, a new music video channel, is set for a March launch on the Sky Angel satellite TV service. The net is a contemporary music video channel programmed specifically for adults with Christian music as its focus. It's being developed by Spirit Communications in Columbus, Ohio, creator of TVU Music Television and The RadioU Network.

Outdoor Channel Goes HD Fishing - Outdoor Channel said former San Diego Padre and Cy Young Award Winning pitcher Randy Jones will host its newest high-def programming effort, a freshwater fishing show titled "Randy Jones' Strike Zone." The show is set to debut in January 2005.
