experience with Video game guns...

Anyone have any experience with the Light Guns in shooting type video games?  Do they work on rear projection tvs?  

Some things I have read say they wont, and others say they might.  I don't want to drop $ on a game and a gun if they won't work.

They work, I've used mine on my 65" RP.

Thanks.  I have a Hitachi set also.  I'll have to give it a try.

I borrowed one from my friend and tried it,  no go on my hitachi 57S500.  

I tried cranking up the brightness and contrast to 60, then it at least could see some firing, but it was all over the screen.

Any suggestions?
