Now that's what HD Packers look like and sound like.  Great job ABC...great video and audio......I hope the other networks are jealous.

I have been getting a lot of audio drops and some Pix problems.   Maybe it is with TWC

tbarney

No problems on TW here.  Milwaukee southside.

Gregg Lengling

Definitely no problems OTA....just great.

Had a good signal, but I would never call the ABC MNF production great.  ESPN has em beat in quality, because ABC continues to have cameras using SD.  Especially the overhead cam on the wire, ESPN's is HD, ABC is SD.  Also, another behind the end zone camera on ABC was SD as well.

In my opinion, ABC is still running the production with half a heart.

Yes but it beats CBS's wacky audio and drop outs.  And by far better than Fox's 480p widescreen for those very few that can receive it.

You've got a reception or receiver problem then, I had only 1 audio drop out and the only on scene in the second half with 1 second of pixelation.

If I had any audio dropouts or pixelation, they happened while I was taking a potty break... didn't see either...

MNF was very good for me. Just a couple blurbs then I pointed my antenna and had low 80 percent the whole night.

As one poster pointed out a "ESPN has em beat in quality, because ABC continues to have cameras using SD" I did see a lower PQ in some cameras. I change to ESPN HD last night to the Iowa basketball game it did not seem as good as MNF. Dish sat with 811 receiver. ESPN HD on Sunday night had a NFL game Denver and XX. and it seem to be of finer PQ then the basketball game and MNF.

My hats is off to ABC.

I agree the signal was very nice!  The only problem I saw was when WISN needed to insert local commercials.  Just a minor blip as they switched back and forth.  It happened a couple times.

Outstanding picture quality and sound quality.

Having a couple widescreen SD cameras doesn't bother me too much.  I would prefer all HD, but for 'free' it's hard to complain.

JMHO.

I had tons audio drops and picture problems on TWC in Waukesha, especially at the start of the game. Once my box even rebooted itself. Do you think that if a lot of people are watching the HD feed, there could be a bandwidth problem?

Dan the Man

OTA signal was really good. There were about 3 instances of pixilation for about 1 sec. each. I would bet that was a network feed problem.

Audio seemed fine.

I noticed that switching problem too Starving. WISN or someone was having trouble. No problem though - it was during commercials.

MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS! :D

Oz, I'm also in Waukesha, and I agree with you completely...lots of audio and picture dropouts on TWC's feed.  Like you said, I'm also curious if the number of people using the signal in a given area would affect it.  I know that sort of thing would affect Roadrunner, based on it being a 2-way communication, but I wouldn't think the HD signal should care because it's one way.  Curious...do you have Roadrunner at your place?  I have it here, so maybe we can find out if having RR creates a bandwidth issue with HDTV.

I have RR and TWC HD.  I had an excellent picture last night with no sound issues that I noticed on my Pioneer HD STB setup,  but my son noticed some picture and sound issues on the SA 3100HD setup.

brewtownska

Thanks for clarifying results on the 2 different TWC boxes at your location.  I've still got the SA 3100HD, so maybe that's my problem with dropouts.  But I'm just going to live with it for a while longer until the HD DVR box comes out.
