I have been watching the hdtv broadcast of wisn on channel 34 and have found it to be very good if not better than the others, the sound witch is in dobly digital was also very good, only one problem, there is no sound when ther program is not in dobly digital, is anyone else having this problem? also I get a pretty good siginal from fox 6 on channel 33 about 71, everything is in widescreen and the picture is not in the same class as the other stations

Need to know what receiver you are using...it may have a menu switch to change audio outputs.  I don't have any problem on either of my receivers getting audio from 34 no matter the format.

I have rca dtc100 all of the other stations audio come in just fine only wisn 34 if the broadcast is in the hd format the audio is fine but when they go to regular programing ther is no sound until they go back to hd

I'll have to double check on my DTC100 but I've never noticed a problem with 34.  But they next time I catch them not transmitting 5.1 (everytime I look they are), I'll see what I get.

I surfed through Backdraft and other DirectTV and local stations.  No problem with the DTC-000, and I'm sure I have one of the older ones.

Thanks guys, I found the problem the front surround channels were not plugged in, only the center channel was plugged in. when wisn goes to non-hd programing  its in dolby 2.1 so no sound out of the center channel, once I got the surrounds working everything was fine. thanks again!
