Channel Master 4221 or 4228 indoors???

Winter time has come and once again the apt roof antenna system is worthless. The Silver Sensor does OK indoors but doesn't get the VHF PBS station. I'm wondering if I would do better using one of these less than 4ft square outdoor antennas in a window, closet or behind a bookcase? The antennas are all less than $50.

Any suggestions.

Before I got around to mounting my 4221 on the roof, I tested it indoors. It did work, in the basement no less. And even though it's a UHF antenna, it did and still does pick up PBS.

The only drawback you might want to consider is that these are both very directional antennas and may require repositioning for the various channels. Maybe a good use for the Christmas tree stand after the holidays? :D  Ho, Ho, Ho.
