The L.A. Lakers at San Antonio will be televised on iNHD channel 545 on Wednesday December 3rd 7 p.m. (CST).

All Time Warner Cable high definition customers will receive this game as a either a free preview (if they don't currently subscribe to the iNHD Package) or as part of the package if they do.

The guide  for 545 says NBA Basketball, but it's some other crappy programming like INHD usually shows.  Where's my HD NBA game!!!!!!

tbarney

inhd.com doesn't say anything about an nba game tonight. and nba.com says the next hd game is dec 9th.  NBA.com says nothing about tonights game being in HD....

mhz40

Yeah, I noticed that yesterday but figured their web site was wrong.  The Interactive Program Data (Guide) shows NBA Basketball...
I called the uplink for INHD and was told that NBA TV picked up the game at the last minute, so they lost their rights to carry it.
:bang: :bang: :bang:

tbarney

It doesn't make any sense that they lost their rights because NBA TV picked it up. When an NBATV game is offered in HD, it is INHD that shows it, so why wouldn't they have rights, NBA TV doesn't have an HD channel, that is why INHD has the HD games....

All I can figure is that NBATV decided not to show it in HD at the last minute.

mhz40

Sound goofy, I know.  But NBA TV has the broadcast rights, period.  It doesn't matter if they carry it in black & white or HD...  it's the content they have the rights to.

That little piece of information is something that a potential subscriber might like to know if they are considering paying $6.95 a month because of the NBA or other sporting event HD content.  It seems ridiculous to market that programming when the possibility exists that the scheduled broadcast could be pulled at any minute.

tbarney

I have to agree agrundman,  The ONLY reason that I got INHD is because of the NBA games.  I could care less about the other programming because I've never even heard of it.   I don't think the game was ever supposed to be in HD because nba.com had it listed as an SD game.  I think INHD just screwed up on their programming schedule.

Either way, I hope the game on the 9th is in HD, otherwise INHD is getting canceled by me before even a month is over

This game was listed on NBA-TV's site as an HD game last month, but they pulled it off, along with a couple of others. INHD picks up the HD games from NBA-TV.  THose are the only games that INHD will have.  Right now they are showing 7 games in Dec, 6 in Jan, 6 in Feb, 11 in March, & 2 in April.  Still seems like a good lineup.  You could get more games if you switched to Dish & got ESPN-HD as well.  DISH IS going to show all of the NBA-HD games on the special events channel.  Plus all of the college b-ball that ESPN-HD has scheduled.  Replace INHD with HDNet & HDnet movies.

I have Directv. I haven't noticed any HD NBA games on their special events channel. Does anybody know if their carrying them?

Sparkman87

They don't start until next week.  I know Dish has an agreement to carry them, you may want to check with Direct.
