Time Warner's Milwaukee division launched two iNHD HD services today.

iNHD offers a variety of HD programming, including programs from cable networks such as Hallmark Channel, Tennis Channel and Animmal Planet, as well as series programming such as "The Twilight Zone".  In addition, the pair of channels will will premiere movies each week, as well as provide coverage of College, NBA, NHL & MLB sports.  The first NBA game is scheduled for December 3rd.  For a daily listing, go here.

iNHD & iNHD2 are on channels 545 & 546 respectively and are available for a monthly package price of $6.95.

Happy Thanksgiving....

congrats to you mhz40. You were the first to announce it. But I'm surprised that there was a extra charge for the channel.  . You'd think they would have given a free month first to see how we would like it. And since I just added Showtime for $5.00/month I will have to wait to see the reviews for these channels before I consider adding it. (still waiting for HD PVR $5.00/month. So might there be HD channel package on the horizon that all HD channels will be added to?)(ESPNHD)????

Sure hope so... Man, if they're gonna charge $3-5 per month per channel for every new HD channel they add, that could get pretty pricey.

I had hope for a preview as well...  :(
If I were in marketing, I'd try to pull off a free preview between Christmas & New Years.
All I can say is the pictures are stunning (ala-PBS).  I've watched a lot of the stuff, but could not get myself into the college football coverage.  I'm embarassed to admit it, but I've never even heard of some of the teams.
I beleive everything is pro-rated, so if you don't like it, cancel after the Thanksgiving weekend!  Worst case is you have to keep it for 30 days & you blow $7.

Great news, I think...

$7 a month seems like a lot unless more is added to the HD package some time.  Without actually seeing InHD, I think I would much rather pay $7 a month for ESPNHD.  At least ESPNHD is not a bunch of repeats.  I'm sure INHD will get much better with time but it seems like they just replay a bunch of the same stuff over and over again.  That gets boring really quick even when "in HD."

None the less I'll probably pony up the cash for it.  Thanks for letting us know Mhz40:)

I dunno... I just spent $7 for lunch.  I guess it may seem like too much for some...
Unlike ESPN-HD, at least both feeds are in HD 24x7x365...  I'm not going to bother searching for the details here, but I think a satellite provider has a $10 package that includes HD Net, Discovery HD & ESPN-HD?

relatively speaking, $7 is a lot.  That is about 8% of my total monthly cable bill.  However, $7 is not a lot of food and probably only about 2% of my monthly food expense.  Maybe I put too much emphasis on food consumption in my life and not enough on paying more for cable.  :D

I am very glad that TWC is adding this channel and have no intention of looking to another service provider.

Any new news on Fox Sports HD???  Too me, this sounds better than ESPN HD because of the potential local team coverage.

No news to share on Fox Sports HD...
From what I understand it will not be a 24x7 service at launch...only HD programming during actual games, something ESPN-SiHD (Sometimes-in-High Definition) should have considered doing until they got enough content in place.
Based on your reply, it looks like you think this is only one channel... you get both INHD channels for $7/mo.

Does TWC offer the INHD package w/o a base package?  I already subscribe to DirecTV's HD package but if I can get these other two channels for cheap I may just add them.   What would the cable box cost monthly?
I'm not in marketing or customer service, so I don't know how it's packaged.  I think the set top fee is around $6.  Here are some phone numbers if you need them.

DirecTV's package includes HD Net, HD Net Movies, Discovery HD, ESPN-HD and a Special Events channel.

I'll be curious to see if more channels = more $$

Cool.

Will the movies be commercial free?  Will the channel be commercial free?

Well it didn't take me long. I have been anxiously awaitng these channels so I decided to drop Showtime and add INHD. I still have HBO and I really haven't been watching Showtime. Right now I am watching 2003 NBA All Star Game on INHD1.  It is showing the Pre-All Star game stuff. All the commercals are HIDef!  All the commercals have to deal with the NBA Pass.  INHD2 is showing a movie called "Being Human" I see the TNA wrestling is on later tonite. I don't follow wrestling anymore (used to be a big fan) but I will have to check it out. I'll report on some of the other programming as I view it. But so far so good!

Greetings,

I tried to order the new HD In Demand channels. Tried twice. First time the sales person couldn't find it and told me some one would call back. They didn't. Second time the sales person said she couldn't take my order until Dec 3. Has anyone ordered it and is using it?

Thanks
Dean

Please try to get an informed and trained CSR at TWC: they must have a bunch of new-hires. Try to be patient next time.

Yes, I have it and love it. Very much like HDNET offerings.:)

These are called iN HD 1 & 2, channels 545 and 546. They should be available in all TWC SE Wisc areas.
The monthly charge for BOTH combined is an additional $6.95 plus franchise fees and applicable sales taxes. It's quite a deal.

Find her/his supervisor and your should have them on your HD rental box/HDTV screen right after you hang up the phone.
Try to be home at the time and leave the cable box on to see if these appear. ;)
This will make it a total of 10 HD channels available to HD box rental subscribers (if you subscribe to HBO and SHo).
Happy viewing.
