An Open Message to Fox6 Milwaukee

I know that persons unknown at your station read this message board and keep abreast of what is going on in Milwaukee.  HOWEVER.....

It would be nice if you would at least chime in and let us know what is really going on.  Hearsay and conjecture only go to aggravate those readers and viewers on this board.  Other stations in the Milwaukee Area have at least one employee who is willing to provide REAL information.   It would go a long way to at least alleviate some of the Anger and Mistrust that is being vented towards your station.

Thankyou.

Hope your message doesn't have the same effect as their OTA digital signal.

Is FOX6 even broadcasting HD? I see them listed on Titan TV but I have never been able to pull in a signal.  Its not like I live in the boonnies either.  Im  on the Milwaukee/Wauwatosa boarder and get zero signal with my antenna (amplified set top antenna).  I have not tried my big antenna in my attic though.  Its wired in a bad spot and I have not felt like rewiring everything since the set top antenna brings in every other channel just fine.

just "any old" antenna will not be able to pick up fox6.. you either need a rooftop antenna or a zenith silver sensor or radio shackj/channel master double bow tie. anything else will not cut it..

reportedly with a rooftop antenna in your area (my area also) you should be able to get a great signal... moving my rsdbt outside I can get as high as 60 from them. indoors, it will take lots and lots and lots of work (probably more than it's worth). However, all you really have to get is a constant 45 or higher for their signal.

I've been told the only way to get good reception on Fox 6 digital is (a) Time Warner, or (b) a cable running out the back of their studio, or (c) if you live 2 blocks from their antenna, which is mounted on a telephone pole with some duct tape. :)

Borghe....I have an amplified large antenna on the top of my 50' tower in Cedarburg...there is no way in H**l to receive them.  Their pattern of their antenna is beaming the signal SSW from their studio which puts me almost on the back side.

Back before 34 went on the air I was able to receive them at times but the signal strength was only in the 30's and wasn't going to lock very long.  Now with 34 running 1/2 megawatt it causes any receiver to raise the AGC voltage thus ruining any chance of receiving their signal.

Yes I've seen the documents they filed with the FCC showing their coverage area from the studio...but it's all FANTASY!

With a straight face, Chuck Steinmetz told me there were people in Menomonee Falls and Germantown picking up a solid Fox 6 digital signal over the air.

Maybe we can arrange for a "showing" of this proof.......
I don't believe it !

I have an outdoor antenna raised at about 40 feet and I can pick up Fox 6 HD signal, whole 9% of it.

Heck! I get a 22 with Radio Shack Double Bowtie in my living room!

Hey Gregg:
Are you sure you got the mailing address right on this thread's envelope?  I don't think they received the message!

And now the probable push-back of putting the DTV antenna on the tower till spring? If this was their analog signal the job would have been done in a week! 9 months just isn't enough time I guess.  Fox Six has a terrible case of DGAS disease.

Ok... I'll bite...

What is DGAS disease?
