Any chance that WISN, which is picking up the Sunday night game, will be passing the ESPN HD feed?

In this thread we addressed it, but, officially again:

QuoteIn response to your question about ESPN-HD for the ESPN Game, we do not have the HD rights to the game, those rights are reserved for the cable systems.

As always, we will upconvert the signal to our HD Channel.

Thank you for your inquiry.

Guess I'll just have to watch it on ESPN-HD then won't I.....now there is a good reason to have Directv.

I too broke down and ordered the Sat C LMB and just installed it last weekend. I still have to activate the HD package, but figured it was time. At least they are giving 1 month free right now.

I finally gave in and ordered DirecTV's HD package on Tuesday.  The Sat-C kit arrived today by FedEx and an installer is coming Saturday afternoon.  Sweet jesus, they made my week!  I too look forward to watching the Pack/Vikes on ESPN-HD.   Should be a great game.

Why wait for the installer? You can do it yourself in 10-15 minutes.

If you have a clean line of site to the satellite at ground level, you can mount it on a four foot pole (like I did) or an outside wall.

See my post of picture links on the Technical section post I did.  I just climb up the tower and work on it......doesn't matter if you fall a couple feet or a lot of feet...it's  still gonna hurt....plus I have some tall trees out back that I had to clear to get a good signal.

Question to pose to you from just outside the Milwaukee DMA.  Does ESPN get blacked out on either satellite or cable for the Packer game in the Milwaukee area?  Or is WISN treated as the secondary rightsholder and ESPN is allowing the home market of the Packers free over-the-air coverage of the game?

just curious,

From what I remember, the game will be on both channels.

As someone stated earlier, the WISN game won't be HD. That seems to make sense I guess.
