Flickery?

Is it just me, or do some HD broadcasts seem flickery?  I notice it mostly on Fox and CBS.  Never on Monday Night Football or Channel 510.

Wonder why that is?

Can't speak for Fox, but CBS58 uses the bandwidth originally intended for a single HD stream to send out an HD stream, and two other Standard definition channels. Makes for a less than stellar HD picture, especially for sports and other rapid motion shows.

Fox, Ch 506 via TWC is very "flickery" IMO.  My tv seems nervous when on that station.

Has anyone with TWC been getting black screens with 505 & 506 this week.  Those two stations seem to always have problems lately.   505 (cbs) has been black since the 3rd OT of the Vol-Bama game on Saturday.  Very frustrating as I had to watch the last 2 overtime periods on SD.  At least the Vols won.

6 sometimes seems flickery, but I assume that is the source material.. widescreen football exhibits this big time... however, 24 last night was very very nice..

the best way I describe it is like extreme interlace flicker. I see it all the time on Fox 6.. don't know why though... I'm grabbing them over an antenna.

Never seen any problems with 58.. Their normal broadcasts look ok.. Still very nice.. but yeah, their sports broadcasts are less than stellar.. I really don't even watch them in HD.. It is better to watch the game in SD without all of the breakups and macroblocking.

Have not noticed it, however, I don't watch that much tv - and when I do it's Fox Sport World - witch has a terrible picture to begin with....:(

Hm, I sometimes see WB or UPN flickery.

Something like the fields are flipped. When I step through it frame by frame, it's fine.

I'm using a MyHD MDP120 with RGB output.
