Rich Kirchen did a great piece on the  millions WISN is pumping into their facilities.

We hear a lot about the reluctance of broadcasters to invest in Digital technology and HD because "there's no revenue model...they/we aren't making any money from this."

This article demonstrates the fallacy of that argument... Where is the revenue model for a facelift on the front of their building? Or remodeling their lobby? Or brightening up the News offices? or getting new furniutre in the sales cubicles? Or being able to edit Digital content?  

Bottom line is that, sometimes, part of being in business is being willing to invest "a ton of dough" to "improve the image and appearance of the station for metro Milwaukee television viewers,"  for no other reason than
"trying to make a statement here."
