Oct. 20, 2003--iN DEMAND Networks, its high-definition (HD) network programming venture, INHD, and the National Basketball Association announced today a multi-year expansive partnership.
As part of the partnership, iN DEMAND Networks will transmit the high-definition and standard-definition signals of NBA TV to carriers of the league's network and will air on INHD, iN DEMAND's 24-hour linear HD channel, select "classic" NBA programs in HD, including the 2003 NBA All-Star game, as well as footage from the NBA's slam dunk and three-point play competitions.

iN DEMAND Networks and the NBA will also collaborate to expand HD coverage of NBA LEAGUE PASS, the NBA's subscription game package, which iN DEMAND delivers to cable digital cable customers.

"This agreement with the NBA reinforces the commitment of our company to expedite the availability of HD content to cable customers by offering them more value as part of their digital subscription," said Rob Jacobson, Chief Operating Officer, iN DEMAND Networks.

"iN DEMAND has been a great partner and the NBA shares its commitment to provide viewers with the most enhanced television experience," said NBA Vice President of New Media and Strategic Initiatives Ed Desser.

NBA TV announced carriage agreements with Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications and Cablevision Sept. 29. NBA TV is now available to more than 40 million U.S. homes and in 30 countries.

INHD is a 24-hour linear service of iN DEMAND Networks that features commercial-free movies, professional and college sports and general interest programming that maximizes the high-definition television experience. INHD provides superior images and sound and more HD native programming than any other network. The network is owned and operated by iN DEMAND, the world's leading provider of pay-per-view and video-on-demand programming content. Company shareholders are Comcast iN DEMAND Holdings, Inc., Cox Communications, Inc. and Time Warner Entertainment - Advance/Newhouse Partnership.
