Reasons to Upgrade:

1. Sound for all channels delivered to digital output.  With the 3100 you have to switch to analog to get channels below 100 and to digital for surround sound.

2. You can go to channel guide on HD channels and keep watching your program in a "squeeze box" in the upper RH corner of the screen.

Reason not to Upgrade:

1. Switching between channels is slower.  There is a delay and blank screen for a couple of seconds.  I find this irritating.

The DVI connection isn't a factor because it is not activated yet by TWC.

If you want MY Pioneer box-which I find inferior to the SA3100HD-I will gladly swap...TWC cannot locate me one.

All they have are Pioneer boxes in Kenosha-MY SA box went out and I got the Pioneer box, but I have had a lot of trouble with it.

I cannot wait until the SA8000HD's are available. The SD version is a joy. But I hate using 2 boxes (one for recording and the other for HD)  as they use (even the Pioneer) the same remote codes.

The CSRs at that office could not even tell me what MODEL I have and nor can I-but avoid (whatever model it is), at all costs!
