Sunday morning the 'road crew' from the weather channel was in town as part of their midwest tour to recap the Bruce Springstein concert.

I was providing the uplink for the atlanta based crew.  I suggested we do beauty shots from Pere Marquette park downtown.  Just as an aside to the crew, I told them that the tower with the clocks on it was shown in the opening to the tv show 'Laverne and Shirley'

I believe the building I was referring to is city hall.  1st off, is that correct?  It was located a few blocks east of the river, on Klybourn I believe. 2nd, is that the building that was shown in the beginning of the show?

I didn't think anything of the accuracy of my statement until they promoted the fact about 10 times this morning on the channel.  Apparently there wasn't much else to talk about for the 27 times we were on between 6 am and 9:50 this morning.

thanks,

I'm sorry I wasn't watching ... could you let us know if you're doing something like that in Milwaukee again, please ?? ;)

Did you have them get any shots of the Milwaukee Art Museum (the Calatrava) ??

Sorry about no warning.  I was called late Friday night to cover for the original truck. It was struck by lightning while working for the crew in Champaign covering the WI/IL game.
We were in the parking lot Saturday morning until 10 am for a 5 o'clock game.  Luckily there where a few diehard tailgators to talk to that early.

The crew was looking for a backdrop to go live from this morning while talking about the concert.  We where live every 5 to 10 minutes so there was no time to relocate.  I would have moved over to the museum but there wasn't enough time.

The networks don't show up too much in Milwaukee.  The Harley anniversary being the exception.

well off to monday night football....I know the job sucks sometimes....
