I found this message in radio-info coast-to-coast TV message board.  I had to reply....

Yeah I can see that! If WB purchased the rights to NFL games, then I

can see our local station WITI-TV Ch. 6 Milwaukee will switch from

being a Fox affiliate and change to WB thus taking the affiliation away

from WVTV, ch. 18.

You can never take Green Bay Packer Football away from WITI-TV. They

love carrying the GB Packer games, but yet WTMJ-TV considers themselve

the "Official Green Bay Packer" station since they only carried a

couple exhibition games.

The reason I posted this message was back when Fox purchased the NFL

rights from CBS, WITI-TV had to dump thier affiliation with CBS and

goto Fox so that they can continue carrying the NFL games.  So if WB

were ever to get the NFL rights I bet WITI will dump Fox for WB.

WITI is owned and operated by FOX.  That is the only reason they switched from CBS to FOX.

FOX didn't purchase the rights to the NFL, they won in the rights to the games in a bidding process and bid the highest.

IMO, WB will never have enough cash to overbid FOX and the NFL would never give the bid to WB... they are too small.
