I just wanted to give every one a heads up on a deal that I recevied from DTV. They sent me an offer (which I quicjly took advantage of) for an upgrade to my current DTV system. It included:

1. A triple LNB dish upgrade
2. an OTA ant.
3. Samsung or Hughes HD box
4.Free Install

All for $449.99

I called around to allof the local retailers in the area but none could come close to matching this deal. DTV advised that the offer was going out only to a select group of customers. I have friends in the area who didnt get this offer. Im sure that anyone who calls and asks for it will receive. It does require a 1 year comitment to their 10.99 HD package. Hope that some find this info helpful

Did you talk to a specific Customer Service Rep at DTV?  

Oftentimes special deals there end up being the luck of the draw with whatever CSR you happen to get.

Did they say which OTA antenna you'd be getting?

I actually caught wind of this deal thru a mailing that they sent me. They were not able to give me exact ota details but claimed that others in my area (waukesha) have the same unit and they only offered the ota to people who would be able to get a signal from it.  In the picture it looked similar to a winged aircraft if that makes any sense  DTV hasn't done me wrong customer service wise yet.  I guess I wil find out how good the ota is next Sat when they install.
