As well all know, Monday night's game on ABC is in HD.  It also appears that the following Sunday's game at Lambeau against Seattle is being shown in Fox Widescreen.  DirecTV's website shows it being carried on one of their HD channels.

I do believe it is on CBS HD not FOX.

Seattle has moved into the NFC and is now in the NFC West.   Network decisions used to be based on the visiting team.  ie - Packers play in the NFC.  Any game that they play on the road is handled by Fox.  Any game at Lambeau where the visiting team is from the NFC is on Fox.  Only games NOT on Fox are home games where the visiting team is AFC.  Those are on CBS.  That's why only a couple of games each year are on CBS.  I assumed since Seattle now plays in the NFC that Fox would handle the game.

I would rather watch a Packer game in Fox widescreen than CBS HD... no pixelation... no pop through my speakers when they go to commerical... four weeks into the season and CBS still isn't ready for prime time...

I'd respectfully have to disagree.  Today's CBS-HD broadcast of the Pats/Skins game looked and sounded great.  A huge improvement over the last two week's NFL broadcasts.  As far as I'm concerned Fox can stick their Enhanced Widescreen in their ear.  I simply cannot believe they're so slow and clueless when it comes to HD.

Are you getting the signal OTA?  I am getting it through TWC and it sucks the big one compared to MNF on ABC.

Yes, I got the game OTA.  It was near perfect IMO.  The audio dropped out only once that I noticed and it was only for a second or two.  The picture looked great from start to finish. :)

I guess it is TWC then:mad:

The pats/skins game was nice for the most part from WISC-DT through Charter cable.  There where artifacts when there was quick camera moves  and close-ups however.  There also was multiple screw-ups when they tried to throw it back to the NY studio for updates.  They missed one completely that I noticed for the short while that I was tuned in.

at least they are trying.....

Might as well pull out my grandma's B&W TV. It 's gonna have better picture quality then FAUX HD wannabe.

As a business owner myself, I simply cannot comprehend being in a competitive environment and not only make the conscious, deliberate business decision to produce an inferior product, but to continue to do so despite the constant, outspoken and passionate negative feedback from my customers.

Not only does Fox produce a picture with inferior resolution, but adds insult to injury by broadcasting it over a ridiculously low powered signal.

It's just mind boggling...

Regarding the second part (the low power), they probably figure that the vast majority of their HD viewers are getting their signal via Time-Warner cable. From the remarks I've seen on the various threads, I would say that the OTA viewers are a minority here.

Snard,

You are probably mistaken.
Cable is not the sest choice for HDTV.
Maybe it is more economical at start,
but PQ for SD programming (ch. 3- ch.70) is just horrible
on big screen HDTV.
So a lot of HDTV users selected SAT instead.

Question,

Does Fox-6 broadcast Fox widescreen?    Fox-32 in Chicago is not widescreen capable yet.

As you may know, we have an ongoing visitor survey that gathers information just like that, for times just like this. :)

Here's what the numbers say about how we get our HDTV:

44% Subscribe to Cable
31% Subscribe to a Satellite Service
42% Get theirs OTA

The numbers total more than 100% as many people get their HDTV from multiple sources.
