All -

For those of us with DirecTV, NFL Sunday Ticket and HD, the fine folks at DirecTV have posted the first four weeks of HD NFL (from CBS at least).

Follow the link here.

I'd presume that, when FOX discloses which games they'll do in 'FOX Widescreen' it'll be posted there as well.

The games will be on DirecTV channels 70, 71 and 72.

So, how many other HD/NFL/Sunday Ticket geeks are here, other than me ??

Curious...

3 games listed on HD channels for this Sunday

Rams/Giants and Falcons/Cowboys are both Fox games.... so those must be the Widescreen games.

Interesting selection of HiDef/Widescreen games in September if we count ALL sources (DirecTV ST, ESPN, MNF, CBS HD and Fox Widescreen

Redskins - 4 times
Falcons -  3 times

Bears twice, Packers once???? Oh the injustice!

The good news is that we'll see the Pack in HD on MNF, but it doesn't look like we'll miss any OTA Fox widescreen Packer games in September if they still don't have a decent signal.

[/SIZE] Right. They are passing through the "FOX WideScreen" games of the week.

This'll be the first time for me to experience the marvel in technology that is "FOX WideScreen" since we have no digital FOX in our area ...

The Law

Fox Widescreen is great (ok, not bad) for tv shows.  24 last year, I thought was "acceptable".  However, watching NFL games in Fox's Widescreen is a complete joke compared to HD games.  The benefit from HD is that the camera can sit back a little bit and show you more of the field.  The trouble w/Fox W/S is that when the camera sits back, the picture's all grainy - you don't get the resolution.  When the cameral zooms in, the picture is quite clear, however, who cares if I can now see the shoulders of the players next to the one getting the head shot.

praise be to cbs and abc (TWC espn? - well, that's another thread ;) )
