I just called twc because I lost all service to my Hi-Def channels and a bunch of my digital channels.  What a joke.  Not only can they not fix it until the 16th of September, but I also requested one of the Pioneer HD boxes.  I was told they would have to charge me $32 to bring it becasue they are request only.  The CSR said that they weren't allowed to give them out at the payment centers and anyone that ever got one had to pay.  Becasue I know thats not true I told her so and she got really bitchy.  I finally got so mad I hung up.  I know this isnt a new thing for time warner, but I pay them a hundred dollars a month...you would think I could get some kinda customer service.   Whatever....just ranting  :bang:

Downtown brewcity...when I first got my hdtv the HD pictures I got were amazing and I didn't see any of the problems others were but slowly over the last year, the signal got worse and now I'm down to a black screen

I'm losing my mind over here as well.  Ever since they put Discovery HD on the air the rest of the stations took a dive.  DISC HD does not look all that good and PBS is a black screen half the time.  I was having very few problems until recently.  Some of my other Digital channels are pixelating a lot more as well.  I also have had a blinking line through many of my analog channels for a couple of weeks now (neighbor has it too).

The CSR gave me a Sept 15th date to have some tech come out which is ridiculous.  I think the main reason I get so mad about the customer service is because most of the techs that come out don't honestly seem to know how to fix a problem and it often takes 3-4 trips.  I'm sure they'll say I need an amp or I have too many splitters, which is total garbage.  The problem in my area is the wires throughout the nieghborhood.  The only time we get consistently good results is when the cable goes out for a day and then TWC has to focus on the real problem.

Also, I want to see sports in HD, not a bunch of ugly spiders!!

You need to request assistance from a supervisor.  Once you get a supervisor involved, it is amazing how good the level of service is.  I called with a problem, Saturday night & the supervisor called me on Tuesday.

I just got the new Pioneer box on Tuesday; the same day that I spoke to the supervisor.  I realize it is ridiculous that you have to get a supervisor involved, but it is the only way to get decent service.

The new Pioneer box is nice, with automatic aspect adjusting, digital audio output for analog stations, and on-screen guide while continuing to show the HD stations.

That's my recommendation; I'm experiencing perfect reception.
