I guess I will just never understand cable pricing. Eventually (in the next 27 years, I hope) HD is supposed to be the standard. So Does that mean that by then when TNT, MTV, Spike TV, and everything else out there is finally HD, we will be paying $763.34 a month for all HD channels. I mean, this is supposed to be an FCC mandate to change, not some special treat for those of us willing to make the early investment. Some of the smaller HD tv's are actually starting to come down to a realistic price, but why would people buy them when the signal is so difficult to obtain. I just don't understand. (yeah, I know, its all about money).
 :(  :bang:

I think the FCC is mandating that the local broadcasters send out digital over the air signals instead of analog ones.  I don't think HD is required at all.  I'm pretty sure non-broadcasters don't have to change at all.  I'm not an expert though.

QuotePerhaps we'll see a price increase for the analog packages out there?
