Baseball Games to Be Broadcast in HDTV

NEW YORK - Major league baseball games will be broadcast in high definition by In Demand starting next month.

   

In Demand intends to launch its high-definition network Sept 15, and baseball broadcasts will start the following day with the New York Yankees (news)' game at Baltimore, the commissioner's office said Wednesday.


Under the agreement, which runs through the 2005, In Demand will broadcast about three games a week in high definition. Games will be available only outside the markets of the competing teams.
