Has anyone had any experience with cllip on hd antenna?  I live ni Waukesha and currently using a RCA set top antenna.  I get ABC and NBC and the PBS channels (with some spinning of the antenna)  I would like to boost the reception either with a powered antenna that I can have indoors (hide behind the tv) or maybe teh clip on.  I just don't want to spend money on a antenna, and find that it is no better than the one I have.

Thanks in advance,

Paul R. Johnson

If you're considering the Terk... RUN AWAY! :) Couldn't pick up a single signal with one in Germantown with either their clip on or attic antennas.

Radio Shack indoor Double Bow Tie is heads and shoulders above any of the Terks I tested

Thanks for the advice.  I have been reading that Terk is a terrible choice.  Is there any indoor antenna that will pull more channels.  I was hoping to find an Omni-Directional (so I don't have to get off the couch all the time......yeah lazy)  I found CBS last night, but I have absolutly no signal for Fox.

Thanks again,

You won't see Fox (6) 33 unless your just about in their studio parking lot. They are in the process of moving the antenna to their tower but it needs modifications first. Oh, and they won't tell us when it might be done.

A RadioShack double bow tie is your best bet and depending on exactly where you are, shouldn't need much changing.  If you can't find one post back here as our organization has 5 of them for sale.

Is a Radio Shack Double Bow Tie a set top antenna, or a large one?  I have some fast talking to get my wife to go for more money spent on this pursuit. :)

Thanks,

Paul

Actually the double bow tie was designed as a indoor set top type antenna.  I used mine in the attic, and I suppose it could go outside.  It's an ugly antenna but it works very well for it's size.  The design is along the antique lines....  The price is very low from what I remember.
