Bennett-Watt HD Productions is on the road across the American landscape to produce a new 60 minute series, "Discoveries...America," filmed in Widescreen Digital High Definition. The series begins airing on InDemand's new High Definition channel INHD this September, 2003. Production, at locations throughout the USA, is expected to continue through 2005 and will ultimately include up to fifty 60-minute shows in the complete series.

"Discoveries...America" is a collection of video essays with content of each show defined by the unique aspects of a particular state. The purpose of the series is to provide a "fresh, new look" at the people, activities and landscapes that make up the USA.

The series is produced by seasoned documentary and news team, Jim and Kelly Watt. The Watt's have honed their skills for the last 35 years, producing, directing and shooting news and award winning documentaries for all three networks (ABC, NBC and CBS) as well as PBS, HDNET, ESPN and INHD.

The shows are shot on Panasonic HDC-20A, DVCPRODHD camera (Bennett-Watt HD Productions was the first company to purchase the first HDC-20 camera sold in the USA). Narrated by Mason B.E. Brown, the programs are edited at Bennett-Watt facilities, located close to Seattle, WA, on two, non linear, online Cinewave/Final Cut Pro systems.
