DirecTV said it's working with CBS Sports to present the network's primary game each week in HDTV during the 17-week NFL regular-season schedule.

The primary game broadcast in HDTV will be available to subscribers of DirecTV's exclusive NFL Sunday Ticket package throughout the regular-season schedule. HD games will be regionalized on CBS, but NFL Sunday Ticket will be subject to the NFL's hometown blackout rule only when the hometown stadium is not sold out. The designation of the HD game will be determined on a week-to-week basis.

DirecTV also plans enhancements for NFL Sunday Ticket.

New enhancements include "NFL Sunday Ticket Enhanced Games," which provides four additional game channels where viewers can watch a game and see scores and stats from other games. On Monday mornings, NFL Sunday Ticket customers with a DVR receiver can view highlights of Sunday games, which are automatically delivered to the digital recorder. And "NFL Sunday Ticket GameTracker," available through DirecTV.com during game time, will provide customers with alerts when games other than the one being watched are heating up, allowing viewers to catch key moments.
