Since it's an exclusive, I'll provide a link.

Summary:

One game per week, the primary CBS game, will be provided to NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers in 1080i HD !!

Great news for those of us who have invested in the package !!

borghe

just to clarify, the game will be on CBS58 AND DirecTV...

Basically for those of us who can get 58 at a decent signal, the news in general is very good (more NFL HD). For those who can't get a CBS-HD signal or those whose regional team is in the AFC playing opposite the A game, this is very very good as they can grab it off of Sunday Ticket.

We don't necessarily get the "A" AFC game each week on CBS58.

IMHO, the "A" games this year will include Oakland, Tennessee, Jets, etc. The "better" teams from this past season.

As far as I understand, scheduling is based on geographic interest.

The fact that I'm guaranteed the "A" game in HD each week is a fantastic addition to NFTST.

Jim Hall ??? Any comments on local broadcast of AFC games ?

While I've been an obsessive, diehard Packer fan for 37 years... the rest of the NFL is only of interest to me as it impacts Green Bay. :)

Only way I'd invest in Sunday Ticket would be if they'd send us every Fox Packer game in widescreen or HD.

But I've been told by DirecTV that, even if they make Widescreen available on ST, Packer games would be blacked out here because the local affiliate will carry the game (even though they're showing it in crappy analog, or digitally witha signal I can't get).  :(

Until 6 Digital starts pumping a signal I can get, I'm paying $5 per month for local channels because 6 is now the only local I can't get over the air..and Packer games will be the ONLY thing I'll be watchingon 6.

I get angrier and angrier with those putzes at WITI everytime I think about it. :bang:

I think they are waiting for summer?  Or is it just warmer weather?  Oh yeah, it's the wind and the rain that is a problem.  Who knows what the next excuse will be.

You know Tom, it almost doesn't pay to fret over WITI. After following the availability of content over the past three+ years... after getting an ulcer (figuratively) over the stupid a__ folks at 58 during a CBS superbowl/non-decision several years ago, and after watching the comedic episode of Tim C's introduction to HDTV... I have learned to just "grin and bear it...." Better for the stomach!

I am hoping that 10 years from know we will all look back and laugh... I know... I went through this with stereo, and I know others did the same with colour...........
