Just took delivery (and installed) a 10' meter TOSlink Cable, a TOSlink combiner (so I can play digital sound from either the PC or the DTC-100)

I have a Soundblaster Live with a TOSlink (out) connector that works. I have to have the PC connection unplugged though if I want to listen from the DTC-100. (I merely turn off the DTC-100 when I listen from the PC.)

A bonus is that I can send anything (sound) from my computer to the Stereo receiver.

All I need is a VGA switch box at the TV and I will be set. About $125 investment, and some inconvenience and I can delay a new purchase or repair of the DTC-100. I have my wife convinced that I need a HiDef DVR. She is convinced because she is in love with......... the DirecTV TIVO she has upstairs. (and me too I guess :) )
