AVR repair suggestions

I have a Denon AVR 1602 that I'm having problems with and was wondering if there were any suggestions on a place to take it to get it looked at (repaired).  I bought it American TV about a year and a half ago and did not get the extended warrenty, so I don't think that it's still covered.  Should I take back to American or try Flanners or I saw on another post mention Bartel Tv & Electric in Cedarburg for repairs, or any other suggestions?

Here are the symptoms I've been having, I've had a AVR-1602 for little over a year, and have had no problems until recently.  Everything was working fine one day and then the next I only had sound coming out of the two front channels when watching TV and I got no sound when trying a DVD.  I've checked and cleaned all the connections for all components and reset the receiver to the default selections and then went through the process of setting up the system.  Still same thing.

I've given up, and decided that I'll just take in and get it looked at.  Any suggestions on where to take it would be nice.  and if anyone has had repairs done, any idea on how much on average it is going to cost me?  Obvisously it will depend on what's wrong but a ballpark figure will be nice.
