Exclusive HDNet Coverage Of Mario Andretti Grand Prix At Road America Airs August 1-3

HDNet's exclusive live television coverage of CART Champ Car's Mario Andretti Grand Prix at Road America Presented by Briggs & Stratton begins Friday, August 1 with practice and qualifying rounds, and extends through the live race on Sunday, August 3. In addition to cable and satellite distributors currently carrying HDNet, DISH Network™ will provide its customers with race coverage throughout the weekend, free on channel 9425.

The broadcast, using 16 high-definition cameras and two HD mobile units along the 4.048-mile course, will feature more than 12 hours of live and original programming, including (all times Eastern):

Friday, August 1: 10:30am-1:00pm, 3:30pm-4:30pm (Practice #1 and Qualifying #1)
Saturday, August 2: 11:00am-1:00pm, 2:30pm-4:00pm (Practice #2 and Qualifying #2)
Sunday, August 3: 12:00pm-5:30pm (Race Day)

Through special arrangement with CART, racing fans in California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Missouri, and Ohio can experience the live HDTV CART action at race-day viewing parties at several establishments. Fans can visit CART.com and click on the "Want to go to a viewing party?" link for an updated list and more information on the viewing parties.

The broadcasts will be available through HDNet's cable and satellite distributors, including DirecTV®, Charter Communications, and other NCTC member cable affiliates, such as Blue Ridge Communications, RCN Corporation, Midcontinent Communications, and Service Electric Cable TV. The race coverage is also available to any other high-definition cable and satellite distributors who wish to make it available to their customers. Directv has the HD thing all sewn up lately. Great!

Maybe TWC will show this like it did for the NBA and Masters! :)

But then again, they haven't stepped up to the plate with any additional  HD channels lately to compete effectively with satellite.

So maybe not.

They could be having bandwidth problems.:p

I will ask them if they will at least carry this great event and let TWC folks on the forum know the answer.:wave:
