Granted this only concerns the 3 of us that can get their signal, of which I only count when I run my indoor antenna outside.

I just got an email back from the director of operations Bob Anderson at Fox 6 who stated they need to work on some Master Control upgrades before they can proceed forward with the DTV eqpuipment installation. He feels that it will be at least 60 days and mentioned that I should check back in mid-October. Unfortunately I may be too busy watching ABC, NBC, and CBS by then.

In a kudos to Fox 6 though, I emailed them this morning and they got back to me by this afternoon. This compares favorably to WCGV and WVTV who have yet to return any of my number of emails.

Looks like we won't get Fox Widescreen NFL until halfway through the season at the earliest.

I also received two email responses from Fox 6 today.  While I am not all
that happy with the answers we have to give them some credit for responding.

It sounds like they plan to move their antenna to the main tower in the late
October/early November time frame.  Unfortunately, they don't plan on going
up to full power right away.

"...we will move the existing temporary antenna to the main tower (at
a higher level on the tower) and increase that power slightly.  I do not
know when we will go to full power on our digital channel - Fox is still
considering a number of options."

Well, they will actually be broadcasting at slightly higher power than 58 and same height, so hopefully the results should be good.. For reception at least. HD and DTV pass thrus are an entirely different matter.

OK.. 12 was engaged in tower wars with "hizzoner"

What's 6's excuse? I forget.

BTW... what is their e-mail addres (good luck trying to find it on their site!).

We'll need to make sure that their email address is easily accessible the first time Fox does a Packer game in WIde screen and you three guys are the only ones in SE Wisconsin who can see it!
