This data is from the FCC CDBS database dated May 3, 2003. An Excel spreadsheet with all current TV listings in the FCC database is available from my web site at //www.transmitter.com. You can also download the DTV database file directly from http://www.xmtr.com/fcc/dt030503.zip.


As reported last week, as of May 3, 2003 there were 697 Special Temporary Authorizations (STA) for U.S. DTV stations. Most of these STAs were for operation at less than authorized power levels. The following table shows the number of STAs for various power ranges:
