Something to put on a wish list for the future.  I suppose that image stabilization really is a must have for HD video, any camera shake would mean a quick headache and you can't always carry that pesky tripod.  

I wonder how this will compare to professional HD equipment?  Obviously it won't be the same but I would love to see a demonstration.  A good demonstration (and an eventual lower price) might be tip the scales for me.  I spent close to this much for a SVHS camera in the 80's... but that one paid for itself.

Does it come with one of the old style camcorder saddle bags for the firewire external HD farm? ;)

Actually, you could get 3.5 hrs off of an iPod hooked up to it. Should be very interesting in 1 yr or 2, we may see bootleg HD sports broadcasts show up when the original is broadcast on FOX.

That would be awesome!  Maybe the nail in the coffin for the "Fox Widescreen -- High Resolution" scam.
