HDTV PLANS FOR CBS - CBS announced their plans for high-definition TV broadcasts in
the upcoming season.

CBS will offer all 18 of its prime-time comedies and dramas in HDTV, marking the fourth consecutive year that the network has broadcast the majority of its prime-time schedule in HDTV, and the second season that it has offered all of its scripted entertainment series in the format. Zenith Electronics will serve as the network's lead HDTV sponsor, and Samsung will also become a prime-time HDTV sponsor. With prime-time HDTV broadcasts plus HDTV broadcasts for daytime drama The Young And The Restless, selected Sunday movies, and CBS Sports programming, CBS will be showing 27 hours of HDTV programming per week, the most of any broadcast network.

Enjoy the Shows!

It is obvious that your proud to be a CBS affiliate.  The trend in HDTV is also clearly in a positive direction.

However, would you be able to provide us some direction as to when your superiors will authorize you to spend the money required to achieve full power?  With all that great programming, it will be difficult to not have one HD CBS outlet when the winter signal drop occurs.
