I don't like golf BUT................

I alway said that golf is the most boring thing to watch on TV but I had to turn it on to see how it looked in HD. One word: "STUNNING"!!  I keep switching back from SD channel to HD channel to compare. No Comparison!! I can't wait for the bro-in-laws to show up tomorrow for my daughter's b-day party so  I can show them. I REALLY can't wait to show them a football game!!

The picture was good.  Comparing 1-1 with DTV 198 I didn't see much difference.  The Edge Enhancement got bad at the end however.

I did end up watching 198 only because the dd5.1 was so much better.  The background sonds that came thru really made a difference.

It would be nice if 58 could produce that kind of sound.

I have to totally agree. I started off watching CBS 1-1, but switched to 198 to compare. I saw little difference, and the edge enhancement was bad. Also, was that a standard camera behind the golfers as they teed off ? It had to be the picture was pretty bad looking.
I ended up watching 198 because the sound was much better in 5.1 dd. You could really hear the entire area around the golfer....giving it a very realistic "like being there" feel.
